The Revival is one of those special, end-of-summer events. I like it even more when the Weekend FT Festival sits back-to-back with it in my calendar. That means I head into the autumn full of octane and opinion.
Horton’s and Chater’s are shops I rely on for the rare stuff – only recently, I was delighted to find Ben Horton had a copy of Graeme Cocks’ The Mighty Magnettes of 33, and Chater’s Clive Stroud did me a favour back in the day when he parted with a mint edition of David Weguelin’s The History of English Racing Automobiles Limited, with slip case, (just) inside my budget. I spent a pleasant morning walking between their stalls and chatting with customers who’d bought the book.
